Under new leadership in 2015, The Community Foundation serving Richmond & Central Virginia (now Community Foundation for a greater Richmond) worked with The Monument Group on several special projects and strategic initiatives.

Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties engaged The Monument Group to strategize with a group of donor advisors, the Loudoun Community Cabinet, to identify strategic ways to partner with business, governmental, and non-profit sectors to support the County’s most critical needs.

Community Foundation of the Dan River Region engaged The Monument Group to assist their staff and/or board with planning for and conducting a strategic planning retreat on fund development strategies and supporting the Foundation’s 20th Anniversary initiatives.

Community Foundation of the Rappahanock River Region engaged The Monument Group to assist their staff and board with fund development strategies.

Diversity Richmond engaged The Monument Group for feasibility study services.

Swim RVA - Changing Lives Through Aquatics

The Monument Group teamed up with SwimRVA to create an actionable development plan, converting their fundraising potential into support and their fundraising connections into relationships.

Virginia Community Capital engaged The Monument Group for strategic services in the development of LOCUS, which serves clients nationwide who are engaging in place-based investing.

A group of 15 foundations and corporations engaged The Monument Group to help them form a statewide network of funders, which they called the Virginia Funders Network. Two prior attempts had failed in the past decade, as Virginia seemed hopelessly divided by geographic differences and a preponderance of funders who only give locally. Through our work, we identified unifying themes, developed the case statement, successfully helped solicit 100 members, and led the search for the first CEO.
